The Archdiocese of Hartford is in the process of changing the Confirmation year to 8th grade by the spring of 2028. In the meantime, our classes have been adjusted to provide all students with the opportunity to receive this beautiful sacrament with open hearts.
In their preparation for Confirmation, teens are invited to deepen their personal relationship with Jesus Christ, experience the Holy Spirit, and live out the Catholic faith in words and deeds. We will meet in small groups on Sunday afternoons at 4:30-6:00pm and host intergenerational events to engage the whole family on different days throughout the year. The full calendar will be available in August.
As the primary teachers of the faith to their children, parents are encouraged to take part in this transformational experience. We offer small group for adults free of charge at the same time as the teen groups. There is no better way to help your child prepare for Confirmation than by renewing and strengthening your own relationship with God!
Likewise, parents are expected to be a role model to their teens by attending Mass regularly and engaging in intergenerational events as well as by helping with one class, mission project and parish life activity. A signup link will be available in August.
The more people who engage their hands and hearts, the more we can do for the youth, parish and local community, truly living out our Christian call to faith, hope and love.
There are three key components to the Confirmation experience:
Time with God

- Weekly Mass – Saturdays 4 pm, Sundays 8 am or 10 am
- Holy Hour/Adoration – 1 Weeknight for 1 hour
- Reconciliation Service – 1 Monday 5:30-6:30
Time in Community
- Confirmation Retreat – 1 Saturday 11:00-5:00
- Small Group Meetings – 1 Saturday 11:00-5:00 and 10 Sundays 4:30-6:00
Time for Service
